Quote of the Day

“All we have achieved are remarkably similar newspaper accounts of our inflated sense of the drama of this display and our own temporary physical fatigue.”John McCain, Senior Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, Presidential Candidate, and Total Douchehound, commenting on the GOP having “scuttled a Democratic proposal ordering troop withdrawals from Iraq in a showdown that capped an all-night debate on the war.”

Oh, I also forgot to mention that Mr. MrCain is a combat veteran who was held and tortured by the North Vietnamese for five and a half years—which might lead one to expect he wouldn’t make glib comments about Senators enduring a little “temporary physical fatigue” while they debated important decisions about our women and men risking their lives in Iraq in 130-degree heat. But, no. He’s fine with teh jokez.

McCain… McCain… wasn’t he running for president or something?

  2. No, you’re thinking of the frozen french fries.

  3. I heard him say that this morning. Made me want to shoe him in the nads.
    I’m a little cranky today.

Shayera- must be douchebag fatigue. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but unlike McLame’s temporary physical tiredness, douchebag fatigue is usually a permanent situation….

  7. Chromosome Crawl, I’m doomed.
Actually, I stayed up until 4AM watching the Senate sleep over. Three hours sleep.
