Scooter gets 30 months and a $250k fine.
See all the fine folks who wrote love letters to the judge on Scooter’s behalf, including former Clintonite and suckass cracker James Carville, here.

Will there be sales and eggnog?
I like eggnog…
Wow. Fitzgerald got what he asked for. I guess the letters were not very persuasive.
Like I said, Carville’s signing of that letter ought to put the final nail in the coffin of his campaign consulting career.
Libby was the fall guy for Cheney and Rove. Hope that Cheney is going to take good care of him with some of that Halliburton money he has been hoarding.
Ah, the faith and values party!
Tata, I’ll make you eggnog anytime. Just say when. 😉 (Geez, now I have to find my eggnog recipe. I remember the eggs and the Jim Beam…)
Probably because of the movies I was watching last night, but when I saw “Scooter” I thought, well…Scooter
And I was like “What did HE do?!?!”
And then I come to my senses.
I’ve said this before but it bears repeating: James Carville and Mary Matalin totally deserve each other.
Oooh! Justice elves!
Perhaps Scooter can pen another pornographic tome as he serves his well-deserved sentence. He is simply a weasel, a rascal who sold out his country. Shame on those minions of BushCo who groveled at the feet of justice for mercy on this traitorous criminal…..quite revealing. Hopefully, they will all be submitting additional pleas for each other in the near future. Undoubtedly, Patrick Fitzgerald has more justice to pursue. I wish him Godspeed.
Wow…just read the littany of letters to the judge asking for leniency for Scooter.
Makes me wonder…Can anyone tell me how many of these nearly two-dozen prominant neo-cons thought to send a letter of condolence to the Joe and Valerie Wilson after Valerie was outted and her life’s work was carelessly and needlessly destroyed?
How many letters did they each draft to the unknown number of covert contacts who were interrogated and possibly even executed as a result of Dick Cheney’s spite?
I seriously doubt there were any.
It makes me wonder….why does neo-con concern only extend to seeking mercy for convicted felons who commit treason at a time of war?
I’m sure Libby has done many good things throughout his life but, good men occasionally do horrible things.
Even good men need to own up to their errors and be prepared to pay the necessary price.
Suck it up, Scooter. You did the crime, now do the time.
James Carville and Mary Matalin totally deserve each other.
But their kid Matty, on the other hand…
Just joking. I’m sure they are great parents.

“I am saddened for Scooter and his family,” Cheney said. “Scooter has served our nation tirelessly and with great distinction through many years of public service.”
So, he served tirelessly … and then perjured himself and obstructed justice … to cover up for traitors. Well then, by all means, lets go easy on him.
Four years down the tubes … and a 1 month jail sentence.
Thanks for the link, Liss. Funny how Scooter was able to pull in all those laudatory letters, but the boss couldn’t be bothered to pen one. Yeah, I’m sure it’s “on the advice of his attorney”, but it’s still pretty low.
All I got was a rock for Fitzmas.
OT but…Did you know the links at the bottom of the page work (to the prev or next posts), but the ones at the top of the page don’t?
