You can say nothing that hasn’t been said, but it bears repeating:
    1. I don’t see the GOP crying about ‘judicial activism’ on this one, even though SCOTUS twisted itself into a pretzel to reach this result.
    2. Blatent hypocrisy is still a winner in the good ol’ US of A.
    3. Keep this on hand for all the deluded who say things like ‘oh, I’m all for equal pay for equal work, but that was fixed long ago.’ Not so much, it seems.
    4. While Congress should (and may) quickly work to change the language to make the ongoing inequity of pay an offense in and of itself, do not doubt that the Fascist Five can throw wrenches into that, also. They are all trained lawyers, skilled in arguing the meaning of ‘is’ and other rhetorical feats of legardermain.

You could say, “YAY!” because *I* passed the California Bar Exam and so now I can go out into the world to do battle for all of these issues that matter to us!

I just found out on Friday –I am still pretty excited. 😀

I just did a bunch of reading on Title VII and timeliness of claims, and while I see how they reached their result, it’s a pretty clear case of following the letter of the law while ignoring the spirit, and doing so to reach the wrong result. And how they got around the fair notice and continuing discrimination rules must have taken some nimble scribing.

    Congratulations, Bluestockingsrs!

    Can supreme’s be impeached?

Congrats, bluestocking! The Cali bar is one of the most difficult in the country. I hope that you are able to maintain your idealism in the years to come.

Yep. It is a difficult Bar.

I survived law school, they seriously try to beat idealism out of you there, and I went to a “progressive” school.

  8. Yeah, I’m expecting the Bong Hits 4 Jesus case win to go to Kenneth Starr now.
