Well, I think we can finally lay the absurd “Karl Rove is a genius” idea to rest. Poor thing, it’s exhausted.
In a question-and-answer period after his speech, Rove was asked whose idea it was to start a pre-emptive war in Iraq.
“I think it was Osama bin Laden’s,” Rove replied.
Yep. That was Wednesday. Not, you know, years ago, when there might be a doofus left that would believe it.
He still thinks that works. And that was the best statement he could come up with when backed into a corner; a tired talking point.
Not to mention this condescending pap:
In his speech, Rove said the White House “is not about easy things. It is about making big, tough decisions.”
And big, fat lies.
“I wish the war were over,” Rove said. “I wish the war never existed…
My middle finger never would have gone down if I was there.

My middle finger never would have gone down if I was there.
You and me both.

The idea that any of Bush’s henchmen are above average intelligence should be put to rest.
Alberto Gonzales is obviously brain-damaged.
Condi Rice lives in a fantasy world.
I could go down the list, but why bother?
Anyone can see that these people are incompetent and working at jobs that are beyond their abilities.

Thank you Paul!
Its been sooo many years of people lauding Rove’s intelligence … every time I just wince.
This guy is an incompetent hack … who’s formulaic political influences are only effective because they prey on the abundant fear and stupidity of the populace. Intelligence ain’t got shit to do with it … anymore than it explains why Britney Spears has fans.

In his speech, Rove said the White House “is not about easy things. It is about making big, tough decisions.”
And, apparently, it’s about getting those decisions wrong.

I say this is confirmation of the “Rove is feeding lines to Bush” hypothesis.
